He paid 15$ for the round trip ticket and ( 2 $ tip for the Chinese guide, "Who did not do anything really, except making an annoucemenet for the departure and arrival. But you feel forced to give a tip to a guide".)
But he could get 50$ value coupon, that her could use for his dinner, the buffet (around 10$) and gambling.
"You might think 50$ is pretty a lot, but you can spend it in 3 min. Rest of time till the bust departed to go back to new york, all you can do is just gambling."

"I have a this friend who was almost addicted to gambling. you know, he does not make lots of money as a student. But he goes to gambling, almost every week. He might lose more than 5000 dollars at one evening, but that's the money he borrowed from his friends, who are also students or working at restaurant or something. Then, those would affect him, also other people who actually invest their money to him, in wrong way. Then you can read their face and what they are thinking.. they might want to find someone else to lend some more money to go gambling places again."
